Demo Reel
Export 2048 textures in Zbrush New Characters & UV
My demo reel was created from two previous characters I had created during class. First module "jester" was created with only 5 weeks of Maya under my belt. I wanted to create something I could be proud of and after 7 weeks of learning Maya we were given the go ahead to module, texture, rig, and animate our characters. We had 3 weeks to complete it and show it for critique. Before I decided to placed it om my demo reel I wanted to go through it once again and clean up the module and place it in Zbrush to get the high resolution detail I wanted from it.
Second module is a cross between a creature and a biped. I chose to make a female gargoyle. My teacher said it would be hard considering this was my 3rd 3D class. Knowing I could do it and have it turn out almost the way I wanted with my limited experience I went forward with this project. Once it was done I was happy but not completely satisfied with it, so I decided to remodel her using Maya, and Zbrush I feel there is little room for improvement but there is always room.
Animation Demo Reel
Batman Vs. Joker
This project was a lot of fun, it took 5 weeks to complete. 3 weeks were dedicated to learning Autodesk's MotionBuilder. The third week our teacher instructed us to model and animate a character as well as animate the mouth and put audio to it. It took about 2 days before I found the right idea for my project, something simple yet complex.
To create this I needed to model 3 characters. To speed this along I used Maya to model the first character, duplicated it and made the appropriate changes to the other 2. I laid out the UV's for all 3 using Headus UV. Once that was finished I created the textures using Photoshop, which took 2 days. Then I began animating multiple (8) rigs in MotionBuilder, taking approximately 2 weeks. This left 3 days to animate the mouth, render out of Maya and finalize into a film strip using AfterEffects.
